I have been woodturning for about 25 years, since I first became interested in the craft in 1988.
I live in the Kickapoo Valley area of Southwest Wisconsin, also known as the Driftless Region because it escaped the leveling of the glaciers before they receded northwards.
This is an area rich with hardwood growth of a great variety, and there is always a plentiful supply of wood to turn without having to sacrifice a living tree.

I am a self-employed "jack-of-all-trades" without a career to speak of, and sometimes wonder where my next dollar is coming from. One of my activities is web design, and my recent clients include Jamie Donaldson and my fellow turning club member, Jim Cox.
